Job Description

Performs various tasks involved in the preparation and serving of food; performs related duties as required.

Under direct supervision, the duties require incumbents to maintain and adhere to sanitary standards.

• Assist in preparation food for meal programs i.e. sandwiches, salads.
• Serves food and snacks. 
• Cleans tables, dishes, pots, pans, etc.
• Acts as cashier when needed.
• Ability to use and care for food service equipment and all appliances.
• Ability to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing.

Job Qualifications

Position requires Nassau County Civil Service Clearance. Candidates will be required to be fingerprinted in compliance with New York State Education Department regulations.
