Business Teacher		The successful candidate will join a highly motivated team in one of the most linguistically and culturally diverse high achieving districts in Nassau County. We seek an outstanding collaborator with experience working with students, parents and school staff. Candidates should be enthusiastic about working with a team that is a leader in DECA, Virtual Enterprise, and all other Business classes. SPECIFIC SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES: Student centered approach that promotes critical thinking; Incorporate instructional technology to promote student engagement and enhance the learning; Enthusiasm for expanding our Cooperative Work-Based Learning program; Develop and implement plans for the curriculum program assigned and show written evidence of preparation as required; Plan and use appropriate instructional/learning strategies, activities, materials, and equipment that reflects accommodation for individual needs of students assigned; Present a positive role model for students that supports the mission of the school district; Create an environment conducive to learning and appropriate for the physical, social, and emotional development of students; Establish and maintain open communication by conducting conferences with parents, students, principals, and teachers; Maintain professional relationships with colleagues, students, parents, and community members; Other duties as assigned by the Principal or Director of Mathematics and Business that will provide for a successful program.
