The successful candidate will join a highly motivated world language team in one of the most linguistically and culturally diverse districts in Nassau County. We seek an outstanding educator with experience teaching advanced level Spanish courses.

SPECIFIC SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:      

• Has a passion for teaching and learning, but more importantly, loves working with children;
• Strong knowledge of the Spanish language and culture, including history and current events;
• Deep understanding of second language acquisition;
• Ability to plan and execute rigorous lessons that engage children, while providing scaffolds;
• Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, administrators and parents;
• Highly organized and detailed oriented;
• Ability to infuse technology to impact language learning.
